This study purposed to investigate efficient operating measures for the correlation between the existence of work-related stress and the quality of client service offered by aestheticians in the medical beauty industry.
To accomplish this objective, a literature review was performed and a questionnaire survey was administered. Random sampling was conducted in the Seoul and Gyeonggi area in July 2017 and 502 of a total of 600 questionnaires were analyzed using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) 19.0. Frequency, reliability, factor, and multiple regression analyses were conducted to accomplish the examination.
With regard to the correlation between job stress and client service, when job stress is higher as a factor of the working environment, client service is lower. Client service is also poorer when an increased perception of job stress occurs as a personal factor. The level of client service is higher when job stress is lower. Similarly, the levels of an aesthetician’s confidence and responsiveness are found to be superior along with raised levels of client service and with reduced levels of job stress.
It is necessary to improve the work environment of hospitals and to initiate programs to reduce job stress.
Key words: Client service, Aesthetician, Job stress, Medical beauty, Working environment
