| ABSTRACT |
|
This study has a purpose of offering a nail technician licensing system and a method for it's
realization. We surveyed and analysed the nail technician licensing systems of other countries and
reviewed the related materials and laws. Also we collected data through internet about other countries'
situations.
The beauty licensing system was introduced by law in 1961, in Korea. The skin care licensing
system, which is a branch of the beauty licensing system, was introduced in 2007. We have potential
to expand to a nail technician licensing system as a next step. No matter what, the nail beauty
sector is growing as an independent area, but a law has not yet been established for nail technician
licensing systems in Korea. Therefore, this is the main factor that has prevented development of the
nail beauty industry in Korea.
This study proposes that a nail technician licensing system should be introduced in Korea, because
it is an area of public health which takes care of the human body. And we are proposing a
realization method and implementation in Korea. |
