ABSTRACT |
Cutaneous hyperpigmentations including melasma, freckles and senile lentigines are common
pigmentary disorders to humans that become more prominent with aging, especially among Asians.
Melanogenesis is the enzymatic and nonenzymatic oxidative reaction which initiates from stable
tyrosinase. The regulation of melanogenesis has focused on factors affecting tyrosinase, which
catalyzes the rate-limiting step of the melanogenic phathway. Antioxidants could play some roles
in inhibiting melanogenesis through reduction of oxidative stress. In this study several plant
extracts(strawberry, dropwort, crown daisy, chinese quince, cinnamon, lavender, parsley, marigold,
kiwi, arnica, licolice, eleltherococus senticosus), which are known to have anti |
