There have been plenty of clinical studies on various types of massage to make women's skin healthy and beauty, whereas there are not many preceding studies on myofascial massage. Among middle aged women, the malfunction of sebaceous glands and perspiratory gland leads to the lack of sebum and moisture. The level of skin elasticity also falls to make the skin drop and deep wrinkles be developed. This study is designed to determine the effect of myofascial massage on middle aged women's skin. The subject of the study is 18 women within the age of 45 to 55, tests were administerd for 6 weeks: from August 25, 2008 to October 6, 2008. massage group and control group.shilly-shally massage cream, which makes it possible to perform the Sticky massage after sometime the cream is applied, was used to both of the groups. For the massage group, after some massage cream is applied, Sticky massage was performed for 20 minutes and then shilly-shally pack was applied for 20 minutes: in total for 40 minutes. For the control group, massage cream was applied for 20 minutes, shilly-shally pack was applied for 20 minutes, with out applying any other treatment. The care was performed 12 times: for 6 weeks and semiweekly. The evaluation of the condition of the skin was administered 3 times for improvement in the level of sebum, moisture, elasticity and pigment: before the care, after 6 sets were done and after 12 sets were done. The tests prove that myofascial massage is an effective way to improve the level of sebum, moisture, elasticity reducing the pigment index and thus shows that myofascial massage can be applied as a way of esthetic skin care.
