The Effect of Semen cuscutae Extracts on the Acne Skin

ABSTRACT
In this study, the effect of Semen cuscutae Extracts on the acne of 20’s students were studied. 18 Volunteers were selected twenties age group on acne skin. Toner, essence and pack which were made with or without of Semen cuscutae Extracts were applied to their faces. Also instructions were provided three times to them for the self skin care (face cleansing, moisturizing, and protection) through the survey and skin measurement. Clinical tests were conducted a total of 12 times for the duration of six weeks. Based on the korean acne grading system, skin microorganism, skin keratin, sebum contents, erythema index and melanin index, all factors were measured before the test, after three weeks and six weeks after the test. The control group not treated with Semen cuscutae did not show any statistically significant difference after six weeks, while the group treated with Semen cuscutae showed statistically significant difference. In addition, there was a significant improvement in acne skin in both objective and subjective parameters after treatment with Semen cuscutae group compared with control group. When it tries to synthesize a research result, Semen cuscutae is an effect to whitening effect and acne improvement.
