Anti-Aging Effects of Resveratrol

This study is aiming at authenticating and approaching the function of resveratrol in delaying aging by observing the its effects to the activity of T-SOD in serum, the content of MDA in skin tissue and change in skin stucture of the naturally aging mouse. In the experiment, we took 12 healthy kunming mice at age of 4months as young control(A). 60healthy kunming mice at age of 18months was randomly divided into 5groups as following: old blank control group(B), old positive medicine control group(C), old gypenoside control group(D), old resveratrol HD group (E) and old resveratrol LD group (F). Deal the mice with intragastric administrating Group A and Group B with N.S (20ml/kg, qd), Group C with mixture of VE & VC (30mg/kg, qd), Group D with suspl. Gypenoside (30mg/kg, qd), and Group E & F with suspl. Resveratrol (30mg/kg, qd for HD;10mg/kg, qd for LD). The mice was put to death and drawn the material from on the 31stDay.ThenwedeterminethecontentofT-SODandMDAbybiochemistry analytical method and applied technic of histopathologic slide to observe the corium structure (HE coloretur, 100×light microscope). Biochemistry result shows that T-SOD activity of naturally aging mouse decreased, while the MDA in the skin tissue increased, and resveratrol may promote the T-SOD activity and depress the content of MDA. Observed by light microscope the skin of mice in Group B-F shows apolexis compared with young control group and the status of mice in Group C-F shows surpass to that of old blank group, but can’t get the same status as that of the young control group.
